Agriculture is regarded as a very important factor in the economy of Kenya.
A higher percentag e of Keny a 's population practices Agriculture to help the economy of Kenya rise. It is for this reason that Agriculture is one of the technical subjects offered at Kabare Girls' High School.
This subject has been recording tremendous improvement in KCSE performance for the last three years. This has been achieved due to support from the school Administration, availability of dedicated teachers and co-operation from the students.
In the school, the subject is not only taught theoretically but also practically using various techniques such as demonstration in the school farm, playing animations related to the subject, using the smart screen and exposure of learners to the compound. The school has a number of farm structures within the school compound. The school has a number of farm enterprises where students are given opportunities to visit and observe various practices carried out there. These enterprises include dairy farming, banana plantation, pig industry, agroforestry and horticultural farming.
The school has access to a reliable water source from which water is conveyed into the school farm using the piping system. The ecological conditional of the school compound favours production of various types of crops and animals of different species.
Kabare Girls' is looking forward to further expand the available ag ricultural enterprises and even introduce new ones to adequately equip learners with skills and knowledge in the Agriculture subject.
