Home Science is one among the five technical subjects offered in the school. The subject imparts knowledge and skills necessary for improvement of an individual's quality of life.

At the moment, the subject is offered in two form one classes. At the point of subject selection in form two, about one class select the subject. These are students we eventually present for the end of course examination.

Home Science has two aspects: the theory and the practical aspect. The practical aspect entails foods and nutrition practicals and clothing construction practicals.

The school has a well-established infrastructure that facilitates effective and efficient teaching and learning with regard to the two aspects mentioned above.

The subject has a record of exemplary performance in K.C.S.E over the years. This has come about as a result of an enabling environment created by factors such as good infrastructure, support from the school administration and a good working relationship between the learners and the teacher.

In conclusion, better things lie ahead for the subject. We intend to continue building on our current standing and post even better results in K.C.S.E in line with Kabare Girls' High School, “In Pursuit of Excellence”
