The department is majorly mandated to register for candidates KCSE and provision of sufficient information on the courses offered in our universities, colleges and TVETS.

Before candidates can choose their career paths through courses selection they are well guided by the HOD, university career guidance staff and university students. Some candidates also get a chance to attend universities career days for more exposure on careers.

After this exposure, candidates are taken through the process of courses selection. After KUCCPS has placed KCSE candidates in various universities to pursue their dream careers, the department posts a list of former candidates, the courses they have been invited to pursue and the university admitted, to motivate the rest of the school.
