A test strategy and a source of endless fascinator was first witnessed at the Kabare Girls' High School openings on 16th February 2025 where the chess intellects competed with other schools and faired on well. This was just the beginning of even greater heights. The intellects acquired the third position at the regional championships with three of the participants winning awards. The lifelong intellectual pursuit proceeded as a group of 7 students and represented the school at National level from 4th to 8 April at Mangu High School. Every piece served a purpose and every opening tactic and end game maneuvers tells a story of calculated risks as three students Tamar 3Y, Aryann 2V and Sheila 3V scored 5 points missing a spot at international level with only half a point. This was made possible by the commitment of our patron Mr. Githinji Kanyi for guiding and motivating us and the outstanding leadership witnessed by our Chairperson Wangari Sheila.
