The Journalism Club

Are you passionate about writing, public speaking, and storytelling? The Journalism Club at Kabare Girls' High School is the perfect platform for nurturing these talents. The club equips learners with practical skills in news writing, feature writing, creative writing, interviewing, editing, photography, and public speaking. Members also aspire to enhance school assemblies through news anchoring and media presentations. One of the club's greatest achievements is the publication of The Kabare Times School Magazine, an annual magazine that has showcased the school's milestones, achievements, and student creativity since its inception in 2022. Through this publication, members gain invaluable experience in research, reporting, editing, and magazine production while preserving the rich history of the school. The club also seeks opportunities to participate in Journalism festivals, cultural events, and media competitions to expose members to the dynamic world of communication. Although planned participation in Kagumo Cultural Day and Nairobi School's Impala Festival was not possible this year, the club remains resilient and determined to pursue even greater opportunities in the future. Driven by creativity, teamwork, and excellence, the Journalism Club continues to tell the Kabare Girls' story with pride, professionalism, and passion.
