Journalism club was founded way back in 2002 by a group of focused students led by Ann Njihia with the aim of giving the students a forum to air their views and share ideas with peers. The club has been buoyant since then. It is the brain behind the famous Cultural Day held every end of the year in the school.
The club usually have regular presentations during assembly to update the school on the current issues in and out of school. It is the club that spearheads the writing of the school magazine. The club also offers an opportunity to the students to contact their parents on Saturdaay through the club's phones. The club supports members competing for different Cultural Day categories. In 2021 the club sponsored Olivia Wambui to contest for Miss. Kabare, Beauty and Brains in which she emerged the winner.
Last but not least, when a chance comes up the club attends Journalism events hosted by other schools to exchange ideas. It laid a firm foundation two decades ago and with this, its here to stay.
Long live Journalism Club.
